Helen Ramsay

Bio

Helen is an experienced executive and non-executive board member with over 20 years’ experience in manufacturing Medical Devices. Helen’s expertise is in transforming innovation into reality by delivering new healthcare products to market at scale. As a chartered engineer, Helen is experienced in practical problem solving, complex programme management and scaling up ideas from inception to production. She has successfully navigated the challenges of delivering success and driving cultural change in what remains a highly male-dominated environment. Helen also has significant experience at building long term strategic partners with suppliers on an international scale, delivering best-in-class supply chains with partners in in Canada, the US and Germany. Helen brings strategic and operational experience in organisational and digital transformations.

 

Helen is an angel investor in women-led seed stage businesses and has experience as a start- up board advisor in the Femtech space, advising on the product development roadmap and on the regulatory and reimbursement strategy and plan. Helen also has six years experience as lead governor in an NHS trust, building on her knowledge of clinical pathways and what works in the NHS environment. With two awards for Mentor of the Year at Women in Brunel University Computing and Engineering, Helen is keen to offer a supportive and individualised approach to founders.
