Elle Connolly

Bio

Elle Connolly is a conversion-focused copywriter and messaging strategist who blends behavioural psychology with practical marketing execution. She helps founders find the specific point where growth breaks - the message that is attracting the wrong people, the pricing page that creates doubt, or the onboarding flow that fails to get users to the “aha moment” - then rewrites the journey using the language real customers use.

Elle’s background spans psychology and public relations, followed by years in PR, marketing and ad agencies. She first built her practice through content writing, then moved deeper into conversion copy (ads, landing pages, email sequences, funnels) where behavioural science became the differentiator. In recent years she has leaned further into the strategy layer beneath the copy - voice-of-customer research, audience insight, brand voice, positioning and value proposition work - because strong foundations are what make AI tools useful rather than generic.

Elle has worked both in-house and on a consultancy basis with startups across healthtech, FinTech, SaaS, Professional Services, LegalTech, EdTech and many more. Supporting everything from onboarding journeys to investor messaging, with user research feeding directly into pitch materials.

Focus of 1-2-1 Session

Elle is best suited to B2C and DTC SaaS/app founders (often health, wellness and lifestyle) who have launched, have revenue, and are investing in growth - typically with a small team (around 5-10 people) and at least some spend on lead gen or ads. She’s especially helpful when you can see the numbers (traffic, sign-ups, conversion, churn) but you are not sure where the leak is - or you suspect the product is good but the messaging is not doing it justice.

A 1:1 with Elle is a practical diagnostic session. Typical outcomes include clarity on where the journey is breaking, why it is breaking (from a buyer psychology perspective), and what to change first.

Common session themes:

  • Funnel and journey diagnosis - reviewing the end-to-end customer journey to pinpoint the highest-friction moment (ads, landing page, pricing, onboarding, retention).
  • Messaging and emotional triggers - identifying what your audience is thinking and feeling at each touchpoint, and how your language should reflect that.
  • Pricing page and conversion fixes - challenging the “drop the price” reflex and exploring higher-leverage messaging changes that increase confidence and conversion.
  • Voice-of-customer research basics - how to pull insight from surveys, interviews and customer language to strengthen both marketing and investor narratives.
  • Pitch narrative support (when fundraising is in play) - using customer insight to sharpen the story in a pitch deck and make the problem/solution land with investors.

Elle typically starts with a short diagnostic questionnaire, then uses her frameworks (including her “Triple M” method - Map, Message, Measure to structure next steps. Founders usually leave with a clear set of priority fixes - and language recommendations they can apply immediately.
